Meet Roz
I am a certified Medical Exercise Specialist (MES) with a BSc in Kinesiology, and a homegrown Victoria resident. I am passionate about helping people manage their medical conditions by moving their bodies.
As an MES, I am specially trained to prescribe safe and effective exercise programs to help maintain or improve over 60 medical conditions, from arthritis and hypertension to total joint replacements and low back pain.
I am a firm believer that exercise is medicine, and I love showing people that exercise can be both effective AND fun – it’s all in the approach.
I understand that exercise can be intimidating, which is why I meet people wherever they are in their movement journey.

What is Medical Exercise Training?
Exercise plays a significant role in managing many medical conditions. With proper guidance, exercise can have a profound impact on conditions such as osteoarthritis, diabetes, hypertension, total joint replacements and low back pain to name a few.
As a Medical Exercise Specialist, my job is to design safe and effective exercise programs to help manage a variety of medical conditions. When a patient is referred to a physiotherapist, chiropractor or massage therapist, they often receive guidance on a few exercises and stretches they can perform to maintain or improve their condition. These medical professionals generally don’t have the time to spend developing a complete exercise program, demonstrating the exercises and observing the patients perform each one. This is where I step in.
-
I conduct musculoskeletal and functional assessment based on your medical condition(s);
-
I work with you to establish movement and functional goals;
-
I design each program carefully to manage your medical condition(s) in a safe and effective manner;
-
I follow a protocol-based approach to managing your condition(s);

-
I provide lifestyle education including home exercise programs;
-
I offer condition-based group training for clients who prefer a class environment; and
-
